This device allows to restitute alpha-numeric informations contained on computer video screen. The process is based on sense of touch and hearing. It combines a multicontact sensor used to find information, which is in a memory, and a speech synthesizer to translate it into sound. This display principle combines the advantages of two types of existing solutions. The display system that we have realized uses current and low cost technology.}}, 19 chapter={Système d'affichage pour ordinateur fondé sur un procédé «audio-tactile» destiné à des utilisateurs non-voyants}, 20 author={Claude Liard}, 21 publisher={Springer-Verlag France}, 22 title={Nouvelles Technologies et Traitement de l’Information en médecine}, 23 year={1991}, 24 volume={4} 25 } 26 27 %% Bertrand : Source code optimization and profiling of energy consumption in embedded systems 28 %% URL : http://si2.epfl.ch/~demichel/publications/archive/2000/ISSSconf00pg193.pdf 29 @inproceedings{citeulike:5700744, 30 abstract = {{This paper presents a source code optimization methodology and a profiling tool that have been developed to help designers in optimizing software performance and energy in embedded systems. Code optimizations are applied at three levels of abstraction: algorithmic, data and instruction-level. The profiler exploits a cycle-accurate energy consumption simulator [3] to relate the embedded system energy consumption and performance to the source code. Thus, it can be used for analysis (i.e., to find energy-critical sections of the code), and for validation (i.e., to assess the impact of each code optimization).Code optimizations and profiling tool are used to optimize and tune the implementation of an MPEG Layer III (MP3) audio decoder for the SmartBadge [2] portable embedded system. We show that using our methodology and tool we can quickly and easily redesign the MP3 audio decoder software to run in real time with low energy consumption. Performance increase of 92\% and energy consumption decrease of 77\% (over the original executable specification) has been achieved for MP3 audio decoding on the SmartBadge.}}, 31 address = {Washington, DC, USA}, 32 author = {\v{S}imuni\'{c}, Tajana and Benini, Luca and De Micheli, Giovanni and Hans, Mat}, 33 booktitle = {ISSS '00: Proceedings of the 13th international symposium on System synthesis}, 34 citeulike-article-id = {5700744}, 35 citeulike-linkout-0 = {http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=501831}, 36 citeulike-linkout-1 = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1145/501790.501831}, 37 doi = {10.1145/501790.501831}, 38 isbn = {1080-1082}, 39 keywords = {embedded, energy-consumption}, 40 location = {Madrid, Spain}, 41 pages = {193--198}, 42 posted-at = {2009-09-01 21:05:53}, 43 priority = {2}, 44 publisher = {IEEE Computer Society}, 45 title = {{Source code optimization and profiling of energy consumption in embedded systems}}, 46 url = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1145/501790.501831}, 47 year = {2000} 48 } 49 50 %% Georges : Nonvisual Presentation of Graphical User Interfaces: Contrasting Two Approaches 51 %% http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/summary?doi=10.1.1.56.1784 52 @INPROCEEDINGS{Mynatt94nonvisualpresentation, 53 author = {Elizabeth D.
